FEDERAL INTERNATIONAL TRAKEHNER TOURNAMENT

Family reunion in Hanover
From the 20th to 22nd of july friends of the Trakehner got together for the federal tournament. A large number of visitors decided to come to Hanover. Besides the quality of the horses, the good weather and excellent side show delighted the audience. Few new Trakehnen horses and plenty of well tried ones took place in  the different disciplines.

Gifted young ones
Beate Heise’s (8,8) Zauberfürst, son of Interconti and Caprimond, won among the three-year-old stallions. One of the four-year-old stallions impressed the audience like no other. Imperio (Connery-Balfour xx) won with the highest mark of the entire tournament 8.9 and made his breeders from the stud Schwaiganger proud.

Trakehner power mares
Bona Fides won among the three-year-old mares and geldings with a mark of 8.3. The daughter of Cadeau and Kennedy consequently qualified herself for the federal championat. Recieving the mark of 8.4 the Exclusiv-Freudenfest daughter Karena won best four-year-old mare/gelding. Karena is owned by Beate Langels and will represent the Trakehnen horses in Warendorf.

Victory in the dressage arena
The Trakehnen dressage horse champion is Karolinger v. Latimer-Hohenstein from the Klosterhof Medingen.

Champion in the course
Show jumper champion of the Trakehner is Eruditas riden by Nerijus Sipaila. He was given a mark of 8.0.

Srub allrounder
Across country horse champion is L Étoile (28,20) riden by Sandra Freericks.

Further victories
FN-Hunterklasse – 90er is a new discipline that was introduced this year. The elgance and easy handling of the Trakehnen horses makes them the ideal horse for this sport. Therefore the decision was made to launch this pilot project. Patmos won the day with Plaas-Beisemann riding. Harald Bloch riding Gentle Hawk and Günter Arnekker riding Octavio became 2nd and 3rd.

Foal auction, full success
Another highlight of the Trakehner Bundeschampionat was the open air foal auction. 17 foal were sold for a total of 142.500 Euros. The highest bid was given up for Bartok, son of Herzensdieb and Preussenprinz. The black and brown stallion foal which was raised by Wilhelm Tieste was sold to Lower Saxony for 18.000 €.
