The Trakehner Stallions are Approved!

Neumuenster – Program highlights side by side – that is Saturday by the 45th International Trakehner Stallion Market in Neumuenster. In the morning the judging commission gave news of the first approved stallions to Stud Manager Lars Gehrmann: Early Saturday evening 24 of the 65 stallions were presented again – 20 received the approval title, seven of them were distinguished with a premium and can hope for the winner’s title Sunday. Included are: Halimey-Go by Askar AA, Ettinger by Connery, Hage´s Best by Freudenfest, Cousteau by Hohenstein, Kronprinz by Hohenstein, Insterpark by Kasparow and Grand Passion by Oliver Twist.
The auction of the mares and foals was successful. Five of the twelve mares were sold internationally – the overall turnover was 158,000 Euro. The most expensive sale price was for the half-blood mare Cara Feliz by Heraldik xx-E.H. Consul. The 3 yr. old dark bay mare was sold for 21,000 Euro.
The average price of the foals rised from last year to 8,564.70 Euro. Five of the 17 youngsters have found a new home outside of Germany. The top seller was especially colourful: The black paint mare Carlotta by Camaro was worth 22,000 Euro to the Trakehner fans from Switzerland.
And yet another traditional highlight took place in Neumuenster: The choice of the winning mare of the year. 15 of the noble ladies, who have been winners or reserve winners from their breeding area celebrated their big presentation in the Holstein Hall. The Commission with Dr. Leopold Erasimus, the director of the Central Consortium for Austrian Horse Breeders, Florian Solle, Stud Manager of the Horse and Pony Breeding Association of Hessen, Albrecht Warnecke, member of the Trakehener Mare Registration Commission and Brad Krebs, President of the American Trakehner Association chose Gipsy Flower by E.H. Gribaldi out of St.Pr.St. Gipsy Rose as winning mare. The winning mare who is registered in the breeding area of Bayern became only compliments from the announcer Florian Solel: “Gipsy Girl has always presented herself in a charming manner, has lovely confirmation and most importantly showed a trot that we can all wish for.” Breeder of the strong moving dark bay mare is Peter Heinen from Issum, who also presented the reserve champion mare: Aguilera by Hofrat a. d. St.Pr. and Pr.St. Aranja. She was followed by the winning mare from Niedersachsen North-West, Lea by Connery u. d. Lara Croft II (Breeder: Irmgard Lingenau).
